Fat Thursday is a traditional Polish feast (święto; uczta).
Fat Thursday is the last (ostatni) Thurday before the beginning of Lent (Wielki Post).
Traditionally it is a day when people eat a lot of of sweets.
The most popular delicacy (przysmak) is pączek, a fist-sized (wielkości pięści) donut (pączek) filled with rose marmalade.
